Lemon Essential Oil, with its zesty bright aroma, is blended with hydrogenated vegetable oil to keep your skin well hydrated and smelling clean. It has a medium lemony scent and light yellow color. This blend is whipped to create a creamy consistency suitable for a massage butter or balm.
Common Uses: This butter is light enough to apply directly to the body for extra hydration, especially on the legs. Wonderful addition to creams and lotions, this butter is also a great addition to M&P soaps and hair conditioners.
Recommended Usage:
• Lotions & Creams: 2 – 20 %
• Balms: 5 – 100 %
• Bar Soaps: 5 - 20 %
• Hair Conditioners: 1 - 10 %
When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture is soft enough to be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small, lab scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.
Recommended Storage: Please note that this butter should ideally be stored in a refrigerator to maintain its texture. It will become soft in warmer temperatures.
Shelf Life: Slow to go rancid, when the oil is kept closed at a temperature below 18°C and kept away from light, the shelf life will be up to 24 months from the date of manufacture. Refrigeration is recommended.
Note: The appearance of this blend may slightly vary from batch to batch due to natural ingredients present in this product such as essential oils.
Caution: This butter may be phototoxic. Please do not apply to skin that will be exposed to the sun. For external use only; a skin test is recommended prior to use.
